BIO
Born in Colorado, Richard Allen Kearney left home at fifteen, carrying with him a childhood shaped with instability, abuse, and a quiet resilence that comes from surviving it. At eighteen, he picked up the acoustic guitar and taught himself how to play as he always loved music. After a few years of jamming with friends he realized he had to have a life career to pay the bills so he put the guitar down for about fifteen years, however music would later become an ambition. Picking up the guitar once again and still working 2 to 3 jobs he formed an acoustic band named Eloquent Stranger, performing cover songs in and around Atlanta until he suffered a stroke in 2018.
The stroke caused him to forget everything he had learned about the guitar, even how to play, not to mention the depression. So once again he put the guitar down. He never touched the guitar again for another 6 years. Once he did pick up the guitar again he found his passion for music. To this day he writes and performs his own original songs about life, love, loss, hope and the light that lingers in between. All of his songs are personal, emotion-driven and yet universal.
